Fall 2022 SOWK 430 Week 08: The Use of Person-First Language and Case Study Example

In week eight, we continue to go through and talk about each of the statutes in the NASW Code of Ethics standards. In addition, this week we are combining standards three and four which cover ethical responsibilities in practice settings and as professionals. We’ll also discuss the third value, which is related to the dignity and worth of the person.

Week 8 Objectives:

• Understand and apply NASW’s ethical responsibilities in practice settings.
• Understand and apply NASW’s ethical responsibilities as professionals.
• Apply the principle of dignity and worth of a person to personal experience.
