Week 10 is asynchronous. You will engage in content regarding behavioral therapy. There are forums for you to reflect on the content, discuss single system design tracking, DBT, examples of engaging in behavioral modification, and evidence-based practices. In my lecture video I share about tracking and changing behavior with an example of what we did my EBD classroom.

Learning objectives this week include

  • Understand strategies for tracking and modifying behavior
  • Reflect on intervention strategies and the application of behavioral therapy principles in clinical practice
  • Identify some of the common behavior therapy intervention techniques
  • Analyze DBT techniques and their practical application in clinical practice.
  • Applying theoretical behavior therapy to real-world clinical situations, encouraging critical thinking and practical problem-solving
  • Apply evidence-based interventions to manage challenging behaviors in educational settings
  • Complete documentation related to a psychosocial assessment

Slide titled 'Week Nine Content' lists tasks including reading chapter 8, making six replies, and other assignments like reflections and tracking. Small button labeled 'Submit biopsychosocial assessment.'

Week Nine Content: What To Do

Read chapter 8 and take quiz and engage with the resources shared (behavior modification, DBT skills, single system design resources)

Make 6 Replies Across

  • Chapter 08 Reflection Questions
  • Single System Design Tracking
  • Findings and Thoughts About DBT Skills
  • Behavioral Therapy and Application Example
  • Exploring Practice Guide in Challenging Behaviors

Level System

Increasing Responsibility and Privileges

  • Starts easier and moves quicker though initial stages
  • Becomes increasingly more challenging

The image is a presentation slide with text detailing procedures for teaching behavior. It includes structured routines for classroom behavior, like clearing desks and lining up, with points on modifying behavior systems.

Teaching Behavior

Having Set Procedures

Lots of ways to teach social skills and couching to new behavior, but an vital aspect of any behavioral modification system
